Stacked Sheet
Stacked Sheet HX
The Stacked Sheet HX (SSHX) offers an affordable high heat transfer option for customers to utilize. SSHX’s are comprised of individual plates that are designed to be stacked together to form microchannels. Once stacked, they are tested to ensure proper sealing and efficient performance. SSHX’s are a great middle ground between size and affordability, which puts them right in between 3D printed HX’s and Shell & Tube HX’s.

For Stacked Heat Exchangers, the bond between sheets is parallel to the mechanical stresses and perpendicular to the thermal gradient stresses. This design improves structural integrity and thermal compliance.
Stacked Sheet HXs are comprised of individual stacked plates that form microchannels.
Shell & Tube
Shell and Tube HX
Shell and Tube HX offers a good heat transfer option while being the most affordable of these solutions. A Shell & Tube HX is comprised of tubes running across the inside of a shell, where they are supported by tube sheets. The HX exchanges heat between two fluids in either cross or counter flow.
Shell & Tube HX consist of sheets of inner locking tubes inside a shell that operate between 2 fluids,
3D Printed
3D Printed HX
These HX’s are the most compact HX’s and can replace existing HX’s with a much more efficient solution. This HX optimizes volume vs. heat transfer coefficient and is a great solution for those with as mall working space. This is the perfect solution for conditions where size and weight are the most critical aspect. 3D printed HX’s are designed to the specifications of the request.

The bond between sheets is perpendicular to the mechanical stresses and parallel to the thermal gradient stresses. This design allows the thermal Gradient to be distributed across the entire length of bond.
3D Printed HXs are built with utmost precision and can provide an efficient yet compact solution.
Air - Air
Air - Air
Air to air HX’s are an efficient method of heating incoming air with outgoing exhaust. Thar has developed one of the highest effective heat exchangers in the market to help users increase efficiency, limit emissions, help reduce humidity in the air, and preheat incoming fresh air. We have the ability to run at high temperatures with a variety of material choices.
Air- Air HX use an inflow and outflow system that offers one of the most effective temperature management systems on the market.
High Temp Air - Liquid
Air - Liquid HX
Thar has designed a High Pressure and High Temperature Air – Liquid HX that can be built to be any size and material choice. Our design allows us to operate with High Temperature Liquids that most others can not.

– Efficient. Close approach temperatures (i.e., narrow delta-T between inlets and outlets).
– Wide Pressure Range. Withstands pressure differentials up to10,000 psi.
– Wide Temperature Range. Thar can build heat exchangers with high-nickel alloys capable of temperatures up to 700 C and up to 900 C in custom designs
